Hope Miyagi was launched as a relief project of Shiogama Bible Baptist Church in the midst of the affected area, responding to the 3.11 disaster in 2011. With the help of many volunteers and supporters around the world, we have helped many affected people. For a while after the disaster, we did cleaning of tsunami-affected houses, distribution of supplies, cook-out, and so on. After the emergency period, we visited those affected people periodically with volunteers from all over the world. Main places were Sendai Wakabayashi, Watari, Shichigahama, and Higashimatsushima.
Although this project ended March 31, 2017, the relief activity continues under the name of Inochi No Pan (Bread of Life), an NPO established to distribute food to the needy. Any money received through Hope Miyagi continues to be used through Inochi No Pan by which needy households are regularly visited and given food and encouragement. Thank you so much for your support in the past six years.
